Relaunch of the Pan Trinbago Youth Arm

Empowering the Next Generation of Steelpan Leaders!

On January 31st, 2025, Pan Trinbago proudly hosted the Official Relaunch of the Pan Trinbago Youth Arm, unveiling a bold new brand identity and appointing dynamic young leaders to drive the movement forward.
The event featured inspiring testimonials from young pannists whose lives have been transformed by the steelpan, reinforcing the mission of mentorship, education, and global opportunities.
Education Officer at Pan Trinbago, Candice Andrews-Brumant, explained that the key mission of this initiative is to empower young pannists through mentorship, education, and innovation.
“Its mission is to empower young pannists through modern technology, community involvement, and expanded, global opportunities. Overview of the Pan Trinbago Youth Arm: The Pan Trinbago Youth Arm Committee is a dynamic committee dedicated to nurturing future leaders, fostering innovation, and ensuring the steelpan’s sustainability. Under my leadership, this initiative emphasises succession planning, mentorship, and cultural sustainability.”
President Beverley Ramsey-Moore emphasized the significance of youth involvement:
“Youth is the springtime of life. It is that time when we can impact on the direction that our young people are going. It is a time when our young people are full of energy and purpose. It is a time when we can prune the branches, thereby creating a renewal in the life and purpose of our young people.”
Minister Randall Mitchell praised this milestone, aligning it with the historic inclusion of the Steelpan in Trinidad and Tobago’s Coat of Arms—a testament to its national and cultural significance.
The Pan Trinbago Youth Arm Committee is set to lead, innovate, and sustain the steelpan legacy for generations to come!
