STEEL FEST SERIES OF EVENTS - Government of T&T and Pan Trinbago celebrates Diamond Jubilee

Pan Trinbago joins with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in celebrating Sixty (60) Years of Independence. Our National Musical Instrument will be the sound of the Diamond Jubilee throughout several communities in our beautiful country through a musical series of events called “STEEL FEST”, which is a FREE Musical Gift to the various communities onward to our own sixty (60) Years of Panorama 2023.

 

EPISODE 1 of STEEL FEST was held on September 9th 2022 in the East and featured Sangre Grande Cordettes, Tamana Pioneers, Augmented Groove, Mathew’s Musical Academy, Moods, Nu Stars, LH Pan Groove and Pan On The Move.  EPISODE 2 was held on September 10th, 2022 and featured South steelbands – Tornadoes, Siparia Police Youth Club, Hatters and Old Tech.

 

We will be continuing with STEEL FEST - EPISODE 3 on Saturday 17th September, 2022 from 6.00 p.m at Tornadoes Pan Theatre, 20 Richardson Street, Point Fortin and will feature the following steelbands from South: Jah Roots Steelband, Southern Marines Steelband Foundation, Carib Skiffle, Pan Elders, Silver Harps and Kalomo Kings.

 

STEEL FEST - EPISODE 4 will be held on Sunday September 18th, 2022 from 3.00 p.m. on "D DRAG", Queen's Park Savannah, Port of Spain and will feature the following steelbands from the  North: Brimblers, La Famille United, Newtown Playboys Steel Symphony, Spree Simon Harmonics, St. James Tripolians, D’Original Woodbrook Modernaires, World Wide, Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service steel Orchestra, Casablanca Steelband Foundation, Roadblock, St. Margaret’s Super Stars, Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, Pandemonium, Resscott Power Stars, Shell Invaders and Proman Starlift.

 

Pan Trinbago and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago invite the members of the communities to come out and support STEEL FEST and their community steelbands because this is a FREE musical gift to you, as we celebrate this important milestone, our country’s 60th Anniversary of Independence.
