Angel Harps, Commancheros win Grenada Panorama

President Keith Diaz and officers of the Central Executive Committee of Pan Trinbago Inc today extend congratulations to the Junior and Senior National Panorama champions of Grenada 2018.

Competition to adjudge contestants and award rankings in the respective categories took place on August 11, in the Spice Isle.

Venue was the National Stadium in St George’s.

The National Panorama competition was staged by the Grenada Steelband Association in collaboration with the Spice Mas Corporation.

Flow Commancheros won the senior category with it’s tune-of-choice titled Pum Pum by Scholar (Finlay Jeffery). The panel of expert music adjudicators awarded the band 285 points for its rendition of the song. The band successfully defended its 2016 Panorama title. There was no competition in 2017.

Competition among junior competitors saw Angel Harps cop first place with its scintillating rendition of Top Striker from the music library of Lil Natty and Thunda.

The Central Executive of Pan Trinbago salutes the on-going efforts of by all who have and continue to promote the steelpan gospel beyond the shores of Trinidad and Tobago, through education and entertainment, towards the creation of a sustainable global industry.
